Mike Tyson slurs words and appears tired during interview with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain
Mike Tyson appeared somewhat groggy during his appearance on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning.
The former world heavyweight champion spoke to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the ITV programme to promote his upcoming fight with Roy Jones Jr.
Tyson, 54, may have been struggling due to the time difference between Los Angeles and London as the interview was conducted at nearly 11pm US time.
Morgan looked somewhat uncomfortable during the interview as a series of intense pauses followed each question.
Tyson even closed his eyes and appeared to drop his head whilst listening to the former editor of the Daily Mirror, who quizzed him on decision to come out of retirement.
Morgan asked: “How do you feel, are you in the kind of nick you were in 15 years ago?”
Tyson replied: “Pretty much, I am just ready to do this, I feel really good, I am ready to do this.”
Despite his somewhat fatigued appearance on GMB, the youngest heavyweight champion in history appears to be in phenomenal shape for his upcoming exhibition bout with Jones Jr.
The two former world champions and boxing icons are scheduled to square off on November 28 in an eight-round fight at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
In a recent video posted on Instagram, Tyson showed his incredible ripped physique despite being in his 50s.
“What do you have to be in order to be brave? You have to be afraid to be brave,” said Tyson on his Instagram account.
“That’s what makes people say you’re brave because they know you’re afraid and now you’re facing something that is unnatural to be. But you control your fear and you face it.”
