Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua can be finalised ‘within three hours’ if both men win their fights in December, says Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum
Tyson Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum has stated that he is confident they will be able to quickly finalise the Anthony Joshua fight, assuming both men win their fights in December.
The ‘Gypsy King’ recently announced that he was moving on from his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, saying the contractual obligation for their third meeting has now expired.
As a result, Fury will instead return in a title defence on December 5 at the Royal Albert Hall in London before moving on to face Joshua.
AJ is due to make a mandatory defence the following week against Kubrat Pulev on December 12.
Both men have already agreed financial terms to meet twice in 2021, however there are hurdles still to overcome before the fight is official.
When asked about the latest on Fury vs Joshua, Arum told Boxing Social: “We’re all set with that.
“It’s a 50/50 deal, we’ll iron out details.
“Let the two guys have their fights in December.
“Tyson against whomever he fights on December 5. Joshua against Pulev on December 12.
“They both win, we know pretty well where we’re going with the fight.
“I think within three hours we can finalise any details that are outstanding, it’s not rocket science, particularly when you make a 50/50 deal.”
