Last month, Labour pushed through a vote in the Commons to provide an extension to the Universal Credit uplift.

However, Tory MPs were told to abstain from the vote, and further clarity is now expected in the Budget.

Universal Credit is effectively set to “increase” in the coming tax year as changes to benefits were announced by the DWP ahead of the Budget.

The DWP has laid out the rates to offer assistance to Universal Credit claimants hoping to understand their entitlement.
