Watch heartwarming moment Dereck Chisora brings Oleksandr Usyk a burger in the dressing room as pair show respect after gruelling fight
Dereck Chisora showed respect to his opponent Oleksandr Usyk by gifting burgers to him and his team after their gruelling 12-rounder on Saturday night in London.
Usyk beat Chisora by unanimous decision in the fight, weathering an early storm from the Brit before going on to outbox him.
Then, in the dressing rooms afterwards, the Brit paid a visit to the Ukrainian.
He brought a Halloween treat with him as he delivered burgers to Usyk and his coaches.
The pair then discussed their families and wished each other well before posing for a picture and going their separate ways.
Chisora’s manager David Haye and close friend Tony Bellew were both also in the room.
Bellew had plenty to say about the bout post-fight as he told Sky Sports: “First of all I thought Dereck Chisora put in a fantastic performance. He got stuck right into Oleksandr Usyk.
“It was a really close fight. I’m not gonna say the word robbery because that’s just ridiculous but you couldn’t have complained if Dereck Chisora had walked out the winner.
“Yes it’s called boxing and Oleksandr Usyk was by far the better boxer.
“But you can’t just be the better boxer and get hit twice the amount as the other guy’s hitting you.
“Dereck Chisora, for me, outworked Oleksandr Usyk…
“I’m not trying to make out Dereck’s done a technical job here, gone in and boxed brilliant, no he hasn’t.
“But he’s done what works for him. He’s leaned all over Oleksandr Usyk, he’s punched holes in Oleksandr Usyk at times in there. He’s roughed him up, he’s made it difficult.
“At the end of the day, this fight went the way he wanted it to go, Dereck Chisora. This fight didn’t go the way Oleksandr Usyk wanted it to go.
“He’s been dealt with very harsh by the judges tonight.
“118-110 was one of the scorecards? That is just harsh. Five rounds? Wrong at this kind of level, it shouldn’t have been that far.
“I can deal with 115-113. But five rounds with one judge? It’s unacceptable and it’s gotta stop. Judges shouldn’t be so far apart.
“I’m not saying it’s a robbery in any way shape or form, but what I’m saying is we need transparency and we need judges to be seeing things very similar to each other.”
